Located at the south end of Lake Huron, Port Huron and the surrounding area offers residents and visitors numerous boating and waterfront living opportunities. In addition to the outdoor recreational opportunities offered by area lakes and rivers Port Huron is an easy 1-1 ½ hour car ride on interstate highway systems to cultural activities in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Ontario, Canada (Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Toronto theaters etc.) In addition, musicians from Port Huron and Sarnia, Ontario team up to provide residents with the International Symphony and the Port Huron Civic Theater performs at McMorran Auditorium. From 'Salmon Stakes' to the Nutcracker Ballet and Port Huron Bordercats Hockey to the Stanley Cup champion Red Wings, there is much to do and see in or close to Port Huron.
